Contract Description: General Contractor BHM Construction, Inc. invites certified and qualified contractors to submit sub bids for the Harder Elementary School Campus Replacement project located in Hayward, CA. This is a Lease-Leaseback project and is valued at $35,000,000 to $45,000,000.
Bidders for work requiring C-4, C-7, C-10, C-16, C-20, C-34, C-36, C-38, C-42, C-43, or C-46 must be pre-qualified per their responses to the best value / pre-qualification questionnaire. Pre-qualified bidders will be selected on the lowest responsive responsible bidder basis. To be considered responsive a project questionnaire for best value scoring must be submitted no later than 04/24/19 at 2:00PM. Increment #1 – Demolition of existing campus – scope or work for pricing includes: soft demolition, hazardous abatement, site demolition, rough grading, installation of underground utilities storm drain, sewer, domestic water, fire water, gas electrical and low voltage conduits to within five feet of buildings. All future pads shall be certified.
Increment #2 – Construction of Building AML (Administration, Multipurpose, and Library). Also includes is final site work related to all paving areas along accessible path of travel, parking areas, drop-off areas, student circulation, hardscape, fencing, and landscape. Pricing for the following is requested: finish grading, utility tie ins, irrigation/planting, concrete, site surfacing, fencing, concrete reinforcing, structural steel, casework, carpentry, paneling, insulation, waterproofing, roofing, ACM wall panels, fiber cement paneling, roof accessories, expansion control, doors/frames/hardware, aluminum storefront, translucent panel wall system, skylights, drywall, metal framing, acoustical systems, plastering, flooring, painting, division ten specialties, division 11 equipment, food service equipment, window shades, bleachers, site furnishings, wheel chair lift, shades structures, fire sprinkler, plumbing, mechanical system, & electrical systems.
Increment #3 – Construction of two story classroom building. Pricing for the following is requested: concrete reinforcing, structural steel, casework, carpentry, paneling, insulation, waterproofing, roofing, ACM wall panels, fiber cement paneling, roof accessories, doors/frames/hardware, aluminum storefront & windows, drywall, metal framing, acoustical systems, plastering, flooring, painting, division ten specialties, division 11 equipment, window shades, elevator, fire sprinkler, plumbing, mechanical system, & electrical systems.
Increment #4 – Construction of (2) single story modular buildings K1 & K2. Modular buildings are owner furnished, Owner installed. Subcontractors required to coordinate with District modular subcontractor. Pricing for the following is requested: backfill around modular building foundation, underground utility connections for modular building (sewer, storm, water, gas, electrical & low voltage). Water chlorination testing, signage, projection screens. Electrical subcontractor to include electrical tie ins, backboards for mounting of low voltage panels, terminal cabinets for low voltage systems, data communication, public address, clock, assistive listening, intrusion alarm, and fire alarm system (rough in by modular subcontractor).
